I'm not sure if this is an outdated driver for him or something needs to be done in OC?

Here they suggest to add a parameter to glutInitDisplayMode:

Apple isn't working on OpenGL anymore. The OpenGL version is outdated. I think that's what's stopping me from running 7.0.

We're probably going to revert the change that introduced the OGL 3.0 dependency for 7.0, and then roll out a more comprehensive solution to the problem aimed at a later version.

Also regarding the particle system fallback, although it's not the same bug: we can achieve the same behavior as glPrimitiveRestartIndex by emitting degenerate triangles.

Do you have any new information on this? Is this even a bug anymore? I suspect the mac version is broken anyway and we might just drop Mac support with the new release.
